The message below is from a real Joe:

(By the way, if you haven’t watched last night’s edition of SNL Thursday, the debate sketch is effing CLASSIC!)

Joe the plumber, Joe six pack. McCain/Palin are giving Joe’s so much attention! Turns out, if you’re John McCain “Joe The Plumber” isn’t a great guy to talk about.

From : http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/17/us/politics/17joe.html

“His full name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher. And he owes back taxes, too, public records show.”

“Mr. Wurzelbacher had never held a plumber’s license, which is required in Toledo and several surrounding municipalities. He also never completed an apprenticeship and does not belong to the plumber’s union.”

“Mr. Wurzelbacher has provided only vague information on his and the company’s finances since talking to Mr. Obama. But if the plumbing business remained a two-person company and the net proceeds — after deductions for business expenses — were shared by the two men, both incomes would most likely fall well below the top tax brackets on which Mr. Obama wants to raise rates, as would the company itself.”

What’s the deal here?

This guy isn’t a licensed plumber.

He owes back taxes.

At his income bracket, he would be better off under Obama’s plan.

The answer?

Just another McCain/Palin distraction (and McCain mis-pronounced his name in the 3rd debate).

Sincerely,

A real Joe
